4th Of July- Post celebration

Hey folks,

Hope you've all had a wonderful independence day. This has to be my most favorite holiday. Its a day of great food, fun and family. I'm the youngest of 5 kids. If you're family is anything like mine, we just don't make the time to get together anymore. What can I say? We grew up and grew  apart.

This post is really about the nostalgia of Independence Day. When sparklers were just as excited and the big boom followed colorful sparkles that instantly light up the sky.  Even those these sparkler are not nice as they used to be, they still excite me. Last night I watched the sky line light up with all the colors of the rainbow. Mainly reds whites and blues. The smell of fireworks blowing through the cool breezy California night almost brought tears to my eyes. It was the feeling of being 8 again. We'd prepped the yard, watering it down(and the roof),  to prevent any possible fires from happening.  When families would gather to the streets as the teens would put on the show. Even though those days are over, I still get giddy about city wide shows.

The beach cities and parks really put on a great firework show. Last night the county of San Bernardino filled my heart and list up the skies with their Independence day celebrations.

Evening at the tender age of 30-something, fireworks still light up my eyes today as much as they did when I was a child. I probably should have taken a picture, but my eyes gleamed with each glow. There's a great few of the sky line from my home. I kinda wish I was higher on the hill just to get a further view. Though I am extremely grateful for the views I had.

Happy Independence day folks! Enjoy the leftover BBQ.
